This Privacy Policy explains how LUNAR™ Nova Scotia ("LUNAR," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects personal information from visitors to lunarnovascotia.ca and our related sites and member portal (the "Site"), and from customers who use our rental, guided experience, membership and retail services (together, "Users" or "you").

We collect personal information (any information that identifies you, or could reasonably be used to identify you) only with your consent, or where it's needed to provide the services you've asked for, to meet our legal obligations, or to run and protect our business. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).



By using our Site or services, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this policy. Please read it carefully so you can make informed decisions.

We collect two types of information.

The first is non-personal information: details that don't identify you, such as your browser type, device type, language preference, pages visited, time spent on the Site and how you arrived. We use this to understand and improve how our Site works.

The second is personal information: information that identifies you or could reasonably identify you. This includes:



• Contact details: name, email address, phone number and mailing address
• Booking and membership details: rentals, experiences, classes, membership tier, credits, loyalty points, passes and booking history
• Safety information: signed waivers, emergency contact details and, where required, fishing licence information
• Payment information: processed securely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number
• Device information: IP address and general location, collected automatically when you visit the Site
• Photos you share: for example, images uploaded to our member portal or zone photo features

We do not rent, sell or trade your personal information. We use it to:

• Confirm, manage and deliver your bookings, rentals and memberships
• Track your credits, passes, loyalty points and rewards
• Contact you about your bookings, account, waivers and safety notices
• Send you launch news, updates and offers, if you've agreed to receive them
• Answer your questions and provide customer support
• Keep our activities and equipment safe
• Analyze Site use and improve our services
• Meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us run LUNAR, and only as much as they need to do their job. This includes providers for:

• Website hosting and our member platform
• Payment processing
• Email and notifications
• Booking, waiver and analytics tools

These providers must protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that it's required by law, a court order or a government request, or that it's needed to protect the rights, property or safety of LUNAR™, our customers or the public.

You have the right to:

1. Ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of it
2. Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
3. Withdraw your consent, for example by unsubscribing from marketing
4. Ask us to delete your personal information, unless we're legally required to keep it
5. Make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca)

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before releasing any information.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it to provide our services, maintain your membership, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Signed waivers and transaction records may be kept longer where the law requires. When information is no longer needed, it's securely deleted or made anonymous.

We and our trusted partners use cookies and similar technologies on our Site. A cookie is a small file saved on your device when you visit a website. Our Site uses:

a. Session cookies: stored only while you browse, so the Site works properly. They're deleted when you close your browser.

b. Persistent cookies: stored on your device for a set time, for example to keep you signed in to the member portal or remember your preferences.

c. Third-party cookies: set by services such as analytics tools, which help us understand how visitors use our Site.

Cookies don't contain information that identifies you on their own. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Site, such as portal sign-in, may not work properly.

We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our Site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often you visit, which pages you view and which sites referred you. This policy covers only information collected by LUNAR™. If you share information with other parties, such as a partner's website, a social media platform or a site linked from ours, their own privacy policies apply. We encourage you to read them.

We take reasonable physical, technical and administrative steps to protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access. These include secure systems, encrypted payment processing and limiting staff access to those who need it. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner if a breach creates a real risk of significant harm.

Some of our service providers (for example, hosting, email and payment providers) may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While there, your information may be subject to the laws of that country. We choose providers that offer a comparable level of protection.

With your consent, we may use your name, email address and phone number to send you news, offers and updates about LUNAR™. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us. Once you unsubscribe, we'll remove you from our marketing lists.

Even if you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send important messages about your bookings, membership, waivers or account.

We follow Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

If LUNAR™ is involved in a sale, merger or transfer of all or part of the business, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. The new owner will be bound by this Privacy Policy.

Our Site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from them. Participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete their booking and sign their waiver.

If you believe a child has given us personal information without consent, contact us at management@lunar-adventures.com and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date below will show the latest update. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know on our Site or by email.
